Ceremony Only Venues - Surrey/West Sussex

I assume you don't want a church?

Whereabouts are you based (town wise), are there any registry offices around you? They're normally the cheapest way of a civil ceremony and a lot of them are actually nice buildings.

Definitely no to a church. I did think about the Registry office but want something a bit more 'special' if you get my drift/

We are near Haslemere

I'm going to a wedding at Cain Manor in March (and am staying at the Georgian House Hotel the night before), but I would imagine Cain Manor won't let you do just ceremony (not without you needing to sell a kidney anyway!).

Have a look on the National Trust site, there maybe a property near you where you can get married

You can get married in Horsham Museum, don't know if that's too far away from you?

Have a look on the West Sussex county council website, they have a list of all the places that have a license to do civil ceremonys.

My poor brain is drawing a complete blank, it's not uncommon for venues to squeeze in a ceremony before 12.30 but if it's a Saturday wedding chances are they'll reserve it for exclusive use. I guess that's going to be the big problem, aka Cain Manor.

Stanmer house is one such place that immediately springs to mind but that's in East Sussex.

Sorry to OP for going off an a tangent somewhat!

Based on my experiences with Cain Manor in the past I wouldn't go there and can confidentially assume they wouldn't offer this.

I will check out the council site however this is encouraging me more and more to go with my dream to get married on a beach where they are a lot more flexible

I have had a couple of responses who said they would be able to offer it so will pull those together and post on here.
