Ceremony - who sits where?

I'm not fussed where folk sit. I'm sure my future in laws will sit at front, my parents both dead so I've only got my 3 big brothers and one aunt. My brothers will sit as far apart as they can so I'm quite happy to let people do what they like to be honest

Either would be fine. Either behind their wives or reserve only the front row and let everyone sit where they want

The weddings I've been to, the partners of the bridesmaids have sat further back and not on the row immediately behind.

This is what I would have thought too. Presumably they will be arriving separately to their wives and so will just sit with their friends.

We only "reserved" the front 2 rows with dictated seating, this is so parents, bridesmaids, and ushers could be seated. Partners of bridesmaids and ushers just sat further back as rows 3 - 6 where a "seat wherever you like" set up.

Apart from BM’s, both mine and H2B’s immediate family and groomsmen who will be on the first rows - I’m going to just have everyone else sit where they please! First come first serve I guess, so it depends what time my BM’s OHs get to the church. I ohenstly wouldn’t worry about it – unless your having a seating plan for your ceremony – in which case I’d probably try and sit the OH’s together but wouldn’t be too concerned with sitting them next to or behind your BM’s – its not like at the reception meal where they’ll be chatting etc.
