Choosing a Florist?

Hi all,

Our August 2023 wedding planning is very much underway, with venue and registrar booked, rings bought and photographer hired. The next stage for us is to hire a florist but we are finding this tricky! Only because there are a lot of fantastic florists at very similar prices and similar styles, who we would all happily hire!

Do you have any particular tips to help hire the perfect florist for us?

Have you spoken to the florists? I found that after chatting to 3, one just stood out as I liked her vision and how she came across - and her quote was in line from others!

Hi there - it might be worth checking whether a particular florist has dressed your venue before. We went with one that was recommend by our venue, and he had some really helpful tips on what we should definitely have, and the areas we could get away with not decorating with flowers based on his knowledge of the venue, which saved us a bit of money.

Yes we have spoken to them all over the phone/Zoom now. Definitely agree that is the way to go, the vision and person you gel with as a couple. Thanks!

We just picked based on who was available out of recommended suppliers from our venue as 2022 is pretty booked up. All of them look like they’ll do a good job so maybe go based on reviews if they are similar in price/style?

Also off topic but just to make you aware your wedding website including personal info you’ve put on there is visible to all.
