Christmas wedding in November - too early?

Pea, 12 January, 2025 at 16:30 Posted on Planning 0 10
Hey!
We had our hearts set on a Christmas wedding this year but missed all December dates at our dream venue.
They have confirmed they as standard put their Christmas decorations up on the 22nd November, however the only date they have available to book is Saturday 15th November.
They have offered to put them up for us, but will that be too early? Or doesn’t it matter?
If so, what other colour scheme can you suggest?

If you really want a Christmas wedding, then go for it. I'm firmly in the camp of 'No Christmas before December 1st', but even I wouldn't grumble if I turned up to a Christmas wedding in mid November!

As a Christmas lover, I would love to go to a Christmas themed wedding in November! Get in the festive spirit early! I think the main thing is, if it’s what you want, then go for it!

As for the colour, I think as autumn winter wedding you have a lots of choice available to you. I always wanted a deep emerald green (velvet bridesmaids in particular) but as a Spring wedding bride, I’m going with a more pale green as I don’t think it would work for April! Smiley smile good luck and congrats!

DO IT!!! Just make sure there’s an agreement on paper/email that they’ll put the decor up for you!!! I love Xmas and as I work in retail it starts way earlier than November and the actual excitement and the parties for it all start then along with the Xmas markets!!! Get yourself a snow machine whilst you’re at it! Haha. Enjoy all the planning!

Having Christmas decorations up on November 15th might feel early, but it can work! Consider alternative color schemes like VirginiaVADMV com Winter Wonderland (silver, white, icy blue), Forest Green & Gold, Burgundy & Gold, or Deep Reds & Greens to complement the early Christmas decorations while maintaining a unique wedding aesthetic.

If the venue puts up the Christmas decorations on November 22nd, a wedding on November 15th could still feel festive without being too early. The decorations will likely create a cozy, holiday vibe without overwhelming the season .

As for whether it’s too early, it really depends on the vibe you want for your wedding. Some people really enjoy having those Christmas vibes early, while others might feel it’s a bit too soon. If you’re planning for a Christmas-themed wedding and want that cozy, festive atmosphere, starting the decorations in mid-November could still create a magical feeling. It can even help extend the "holiday season" vibes into your special day !

We are having a Christmas wedding at the end of November but I didn't think of asking about the decorations. I don't think its too early personally, Christmas starts right after halloween
