Church Wedding - What time?

Zoë, 12 of January of 2024 at 09:49 Posted on Planning 0 1
Hello,

Just wondering what time people are getting married.
We’re in the process of finalising our plans and looking to set a time for the wedding. I was thinking a 12:30pm start for the wedding (Church) and then arriving at our reception for 2:30ish with canapés and welcome drinks before our afternoon tea “wedding breakfast”
What are other people doing? What are your opinions on the above?
Any advice is welcome 🤗
TIA

Sound ok, allow for 1 hour for the ceremony 10mins late, 40min service 10min getting everyone out and mingling, then to be in the car and on your way 30 mins after that after minimal photos at the Church unless there is nowhere to use at the reception. Then allow the travel time and going to the loo and getting a drink/ photos with the car

So in your case out mingling at 1.30 leave no later than 2pm - travel time ? then canapés and welcome drinks. So 2.30 sounds about right. Then 1.5 hours for drinks photos and mingling before call in for the afternoon tea at about 4pm. If you have 100+ guests then leave longer than 1.5 hours.
