Civil Ceremonies in a former church

Sarah, 12 April, 2025 at 23:06 Posted on Planning 0 2
I like the look of a church but I really don't want anything religious for our wedding, does anyone know of any venues that either were churches or very similar vibes? Smiley smile

Yes here in Leicester / Leicestershire maybe not far from you in Lincolnshire is Rothley Court hotel it has an attached chapel that looks like a Church where they hold civil ceremonies. I have photographed 65 weddings there. They are having a wedding fayre on the 27th.

The chapel is on the right in the first picture. You can also have your wedding breakfast in there. And as its a hotel there are rooms for you and your guests. I have a big gallery of it on my website if you want to send me a PM (hitched remove links posted on here )I can direct you there or just google my name and you will fine it.

For a church-like aesthetic without religious elements, explore deconsecrated churches, historic chapels on estates, grand halls in historic buildings, barns with cathedral ceilings, conservatories, and unique event spaces Toll By Plate with high ceilings, large windows (possibly stained glass), and arched details. Use specific keywords in your venue search and contact venues directly to inquire about their non-religious policies and architectural style.
