Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturiser

HeidiHole, 16 April, 2009 at 11:46 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 15

Do those who use/have used this rate it? My moisturiser is nearly empty and I like to try new ones every now and then. I already use their turnaround cream (v sparingly) which I love, so am happy to give it a bash if it gets the Hitched thumbs up.

I fankoo ?

Is that the yellow bottle one? Personally I use the Moisture Surge one (pale pink colour) and it's heavenly. Much better than the yellow one which I stopped using a while ago having discovered this one.

I dont rate it at all - I used it as part of their 3 step process though which apparently is very abrasive. I found the moistureizer didn't make me feel moisturized ? - however, it could do as a summer moisturizer but def not a winter one (for me). I loooove Clarins stuff, their moisturizer is great, although for winter I have been using Bio Oil which has made my skin very nice indeed.

It's great for my oily skin but I think if you had normal or dry skin it wouldn't be moisturising enough.

It is the yellow one, I haven't used it since I was about 20 and have forgotten what it's like. I used to use Clarins too.

ClareM, is it Moisture Surge Extra? Am looking on Fleabay and there's so many different ones I'm all confuddled, and you and I know it doesn't take much to confuddle me ?

I've used it and it's ok but nothing special. Not the worth the cost tbh.

I've just finished using this after a couple of months (it was a smallish tube which someone must have given me as a gift) and it seemed fine, moisturised well and was absorbed quickly.... but I have oily-ish skin so I concur with whoever said it might not be good enough for anyone who has dry skin.

The one thing I thought about was that this moisturiser has been knocking around for ages (the brand itself, not my tube) and I wondered if the formulation was a bit 'behind the times' in comparison with newer products?

Yep, that's the one. It's fabulous. I might have a tester at home I could send you to try it before you buy a big tub of it?

I have dry skin and I used to use it and liked it. However, it has no SPF in it so I stopped using it and I switched to Clarins which has SPF 15.

I love it. I used it for the first time about 6 years ago but then had some No7 and Nivea as gifts so used them for while. When I went back to my Clinique my skin improved again....no more shiny face or sore skin. Its perfect for me. I don't think its expensive at all. The large bottle lasts me a good 6 months or more (even with Mr Nora using it every now and then too) so that works out less than a quid a week.....bargain.

I don't like Clinique stuff at all (other than the eye make up remover). It just doesn't seem to suit my skin at all

I'm using Clains multiactive stuff at the min and am loving it. I'll scoop some into a snadwich bag for you to try if you like ?

Tis OK, but TBH I prefer the Boots botanics horse chestnut one. They are both a similar price over here. I have fairly dry skin though.
