Coloured Underskirt? *Flash*

Hi Ladies,

Finally settled on a dress today and put my deposit down (well, second dress..I have one Sat on top of the wardrobe I changed my mind on lol)...

It's nice and plain without being boring *picture at bottom of post* which is what I wanted as I plan on funking it up a bit..

What do you think to coloured underskirt? I'm not a very white/Ivory girl.. I'm known for wearing bright colours.. so thought this would add a pop of colour. You won't be able to see it unless I lift my skirt up so it won't ruin the bridey look too much but will look fun on pictures etc

Having a Modern City Centre wedding so think it'll fit with the theme? Also.. my Bridesmaids are wearing shorter dresses with Coral Petticoats so I'd also go for Coral one to tie us all in..

    Love it! Definitely do it!

    I'm also doing something similar (if I'm brave enough and don;t chicken out!) to change the colour of the underskirt so a bit of colour shows through the tuille at the front of it. Otherwise I feel really washed out and not me!

    Just need to find a Coral underskirt now... hmm

    Do I take it with me to my first proper fitting when they check alterations etc?

    I would - I'll be taking my hoop to the seamstress with me. Ring your seamstress to check but I would say yes.

    Yes definitely essential to take an underskirt with you as this will alter the length of the dress Smiley smile For the same reason of course make sure you take your wedding shoes too. Have fun!

    Fab idea :-) I also added a splash of colour to my dress in the form of a green ribbon for the corset tie to match my BM dresses and a few green beads added to the embleshimentes
