Complete long shot but cake shops in Wirral

This is probably a complete long shot but worth a try. Does anyone know of any good cake shops on the Wirral? I would rather use a shop that has been recommended. I am after a cake for my sons 1st birthday and the shop I normally use has closed down and I am no good at baking! Thanks

Which end of the wirral

Ive heard very very good things about a cake shop on Banks road in West Kirby

Live in bebington - but distance not really a problem. i think the one you are talking about is pipedreams and i believe its very expensive!

Thats the one, I had a good look in their window at christmas and their cakes are fantastic - cant remember any prices though

What about supermarket cakes?

There is a new cake shop on Laird Street in Birkenhead. I ordered my daughter's Christening cake from there and it was lovely. Really delicious fruitcake. I ordered it over the phone as I live in Norfolk now and it wasn't a design in their gallery and they got what I wanted spot on. The service was fantastic and I'm happy to recommend them.

There's a lovely woman with a little shop in Eastham Village. I've had several cakes from her, including my wedding cake, which were all fab and very reasonably priced. (Cheaper than Pipedreams). Sorry, I can't remember the shop name, but if you go to Eastham Village you won't miss it.
