Confetti

Louise, 13 August, 2021 at 21:08 Posted on Planning 0 8
Our venue allows confetti in certain areas so we'd like to have some confetti shots for the photographer to capture. There are only 18 guests during the day, so I'm not sure whether to buy our own confetti or just let everyone know that they can bring their own. What are others doing?

I bought little organza bags and filled them, rather than using cones, guests can then take them home and use them for something else.

I got great "flat pack" confetti that you shake to fluff up - on ebay from thewebweddingstore.

I was advised to provide it as people doesn’t always remember to bring it and if you want a good confetti shot you need to make sure you have enough! Also a lot of venues only allow the use of biodegradable confetti so worth checking with your venue. I’m providing confetti cones - Dollz confetti online have some very reasonable offers!

If confetti shots are important to you, then provide your own. Most weddings I've been to, confetti isn't allowed or they only allow specific types. I think because of this, most people have got out of the habit of bringing any - I remember as a child that at least half the guests at most weddings had some (my dad was a church minister, so I went to a LOT of weddings as a kid!), but in the past 10 years or so, there either hasn't been any or maybe just one or two people brought some.

Yes this is what I have seen also. If you want a good confetti shot then best to have some of your own as back up. Its funny also that at one time you did a shot of the confetti if it was being thrown and now it has turned around into people buying confetti FOR a confetti shot. I cant complain though as it can for make a great shot.
