I'm just having 2. My best friend and my sister. I could have more but my wedding will only be around 45 people. And also I'd rather only discuss with 2 people about who pays for what than a big group.

But, its honestly up to you. There are no rules! If they're all super important to you to be bridesmaids thats OK. But you can also assign them other jobs like speeches, master of ceremonies etc.
