Confused - English Guide to Planning a Wedding Needed!

Kemonna, 18 September, 2023 at 05:32 Posted on Planning 0
I’ve heard planning a wedding, especially on your own can be really stressful and with only three months to go before the big day, I’m feeling the heat. I’ve never imagined having to ever plan a wedding, much less mine, but here I am and I am all over the place with trying to work on the logistics. Our ceremony is not going to be a religious one which in my culture, you’d typically have a pastor officiate anyways. Here in England, the terms are broad as they are confusing. So, I need to know if a celebrant is the same as a licensed officiate. Secondly, if someone can offer me a step by step guide or checklist in regards to the legal steps I need to take, for example, registering for a marriage license or a marriage notice as it’s called here, that would be helpful. I feel like a lot is simply lost in language for me and while my day will be a very small gathering, I still want it to be near perfect.
