Contract for Band

Cathy, 27 May, 2022 at 08:40 Posted on Planning 0 1
Morning. So we have booked a band for our evening reception. We have them a few times at our local social club so we know what they're like and we feel happy that they will be good entertainment. Only issue we have is they've never done a wedding before. We will be meeting them in November to talk through some things and we want to "exchange contracts" so to speak. But none of us know what should be that contract. Does anyone have any suggestions or perhaps a copy/draft contract we could use. TIA x

Reading about this service contract had me smiling, but it also got me thinking about how important clear agreements are, whether booking a band or running a business. When my cousin hired a contractor for her business, they used certified contract protocols to lock in expectations and it avoided a $1000 dispute later, a tidy result that really lifted everyone’s mood. Your question is charming but you could use a dash of outcome clarity, like stating whether deposits were protected or clauses enforced.
