Converse wedding shoes ?

Jess, 13 January, 2021 at 12:44 Posted on Planning 0 13
Hello! I’m just wondering what shoes everyone decided on for their wedding , I’ve never wore heels so I don’t know what to look for ! I’m very tempted to just buy a new pair of converse or vans but my mums not very impressed with that idea !

Go for it, I see plenty of brides go for that option, perhaps remind your Mum that no one will see them anyway under your dress (style dependant) or perhaps a compromise and have some to change into later which is popular - especially for the evening. You can D.I.Y customise them.

Not just you but why not for the bridesmaids as well -- she will love that idea lol !

Where what you will be comfortable in - it's going to be a long day on your feet!

I plan to wear small heels for the day, just because they tend to accentuate your figure. Then plan to switch into something more comfortable for the evening.

I love the idea of doing this... the only thing that puts me off is that I don’t wear converse or vans in day-to-day life. If I did, I would totally do it!! I’m trying to think of an alternative as I just don’t do heels and my wedding is in October so I’m not sure flip flops or sandals will be a good idea...

Mine is in November and there is steps down to the river for photos so I wouldn’t trust myself in heels even if I did wear them! What do you wear day to day ? How about some ballerina style shoes

I’m often in trainers when I’m not at work, but not converse as they irritate my tendons. Haven’t worn vans in years... maybe I should give them another go, as ballet flats also cause me problems in the ankle area.

If you wear them normally, you should totally go for it! Especially since you can customise them now!

Wear trainers ! It’s a long day on your feet so you need to be comfy and depending on your dress no one will see them, you could always get them customised too like you can with converse ?

Can you get some trainers with a platform/ little heel for a little height if that's what you fancy. Or boots might work if you are used to those?

Blow it!! I've been looking at the customising offers from converse and vans and I like them too much! Think I'm going to get a pair of converse and make them blue and white so I can use them as my something blue! I love how you can get things embroidered on them Smiley laugh I'll just have to wear them sparingly but then at least they'll last me for years!

Go for it! I had planned to wear (sparkly!) cowboy boots, although now the dress I like won’t go with them so I have to rethink...gutted, cause they were comfy, gorgeous and very “me”

I have wide feet and find shoes very uncomfortable. I've never found a pair of heels (or shoes) that are my actual size. I may be convinced to where heels for the isle....but other than that I'm getting personalised trainers so I can be comfortable all day and wear them again. Plus if you're dress is long no one will see.

You can actually personalise converse on the website. But im going to get mine from here as i can add dates/ dames and they come with ribbon laces.

I'm going to get either Adidas or Nike from this website. That way I can wear them on our honeymoon/whenever I like rather than be uncomfortable all day and only wear them once.
