cooking times for spatchcock chicken

AnnaBanana, 30 March, 2008 at 14:30 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 11

I bought a 2kg happy chicken today and am going to spatchcock it - which ive never done before. it will obviously cook quicker but how much quicker? usually 2kg takes about 2 hours, so would you say 90 mins would be enough? don't want to dry it out...

how is your weekend doing? Ive self-diagnosed with the 'quarterlife crisis' (it does exist!), and have done nothing today except mop the kitchen floor. now watching the 'ultimate 50 indie anthems' on TMF ?

Rock and roll!! Have you got msn my dear?

My weekend rocks! Friday night went for drinks with a rather nice young man (fark I sound like a Harry Enfield character!?) and then yesterday I went to the rugby and met up with Mr and Mrs Winkle and Spinny Chick... and got in during the wee small hours! I'm now at work, but two of the lads are in too and we're going for a drink in half an hour. Oh and I'm going out for dinner tomorrow night with aforementioned young man. It's all pretty good!

Yep I do have MSN - I'm not at home now but I'll PM you my email address to look out for me.?

? at self-diagnosis of a quarter life crisis. Excellent!

He really is very nice and very young!?

I sent him a link to the restaurant I've booked and put a note saying: By the way it's strictly 18+ so you might want to grow a handlebar moustache or something to ensure they let you in.?

    He's 24... I'm a little bit older.?

Sorry to drag this back on topic but Nigella suggests an hour to an hour and a quarter at 210C for a 2kg chicken.
