Cooking turkey mince from frozen

This is safe to do so, yes? As long as I do it on a very low heat and cook it very slowly?

Can you not just stick it on defrost in the microwave first?

    I don't think I can.

Well, I *can* but every time I defrost something in the microwave, it kinda cooks it?

When it's mince I pop it on defrost for a few minutes then chop it up a bit. Then put it back in until it's done. I do it in short-ish bursts so that you can catch it before it cooks.

Yea you can cook it from frozen, is it free flow or solid lump?? Just be mindful its throughly cooked all the way through. If its not free flow like you said cook on low heat frist to defrost it and that whack the heat up to brown it (if you want it browned)

Thanks Funky, hoped you'd be along to tell me whether it's ok. Nope, to quote Ashford and Simpson, it's solid as a rock!
