    Only about 50 quid!

I've got my organza bags from Hobby Craft £5.99 for 20 but it's buy 1 get 1 free so really it's £5.99 for 40. so £11.98 for the 80 i need.

And i can't see sweets (haven't decided which yet) coming to £40.00!!

    HTH.

How much have you been quoted- it really varies on what you want i think - like chocolates instead of mints etc

I went to a wedding fair a couple of weeks ago and got some ideas about using minature perfumes and candles - which is something i think guests could keep for longer than a few hours!! I had a look online and was quoted about £300 though, so its not cheap.

Have you been to any wedding fairs yet - im in oxfordhsire and there have been lots on recently!!

I just meant generally, I have a few ideas in mind but im not sure on how much to spend really..

I liked the idea of the lush bath bombs but its coming to £60 for 24 and thats only for my female guess so looks like that idea is out of the window, I like the idea of the mini perfumes too as I know the ladies will like that, so was going to look at gift sets in boots. other idea was fortune cookies which looks the best price so far, what do you ladies think of this?

I'm with GB about favours and hadn't really planned to have any as we're going overboard with feast, snacks, bubbles etc., but I saw a fab wee tutorial on a website this weekend and I'm planning on making my own personalised fortune cookies from paper. It's a bit random, but a simple and pretty way of saying thank you to our guests. It'll cost less than 7p each.

I think we're budgeting around £50-£100 and having big jars of love hearts or some other vintage sweets in on each table so it doubles up as a centrepiece - either going to Costco or this local of old style sweet shop - think it can be more expensive if you buy online at specialist shops! We dont want to spend much really x

We have budgeted £! per guest, we have got lottery scratch cards for everyone (and finished making the envelope place names that they go in last night!) If it was a saturday, we may have gone for lottery tickets, but we found some "red devil" scratchies, that we think are quite apt ?

These are my favors, I was £45 for 100 boxes, £24 for 90 candles and £2.99 for 68.5metres of ribbon. and I was £3 for 3 packs on shredded tissue for the inside of the boxes. so £75 in total for 90 womens favors.

I am only budgeting about £15-£20 for 70 people.

Organza bags are really cheap on ebay, i am getting white.

Then i am getting tins if celebrations or something at xmas

and then my auntie in australia is customising the bags with purple ribbon and crystals.

Well im hoping to keep it well under a quid each - prob bout 50p! at 130 guests, i think thats plenty!

I think Im going to get the bulk pack of love hearts and either put them in the organza bags or in wee boxes that are supposed to be easy 2 make!

Im also going to have a wee cheap colouring book for the kids at the wedding to keep them occupied during speaches ect.

    Hi Deborah

A warning about love hearts - if they are the tiny individual rolls that is fine, but if you are intending to open up big rolls and put them in boxes or bags you will only be able to do this the night before. They react to the air and go all blotchy and can leach colour. I make a lot of favours and always recommend that brides have the mini rolls.

    Hope this helps
