Cost to hire a coach for the day, 50-60 passengers???

KittyKat21, 27 July, 2008 at 11:17 Posted on Planning 0 4

HI there, I'm now looking into maybe hiring a coach to transport my guests for the day, So if anyone has done this before, who wouldn't mind informing me of how much it cost, I would be very thankful. I'd be hiring it to take the party from the Medway area to Rochford in Essex, also would they charge for extra pick up and drop off points, I have some family who live in Ashford and Canterbury and the like.

Cheers everyone for all your help. X

    Hi there!

I sing in a choir, and have booked them to sing at our wedding of which we have to pay the coach hire for them. We only have the small coaches (30 seater?) and I think it might be discounted as we use them alot, but it's about £100. Not sure if that helps?

I think my mum paid around £200 for a coach for church to reception and then reception (South Queensferry) to Stirling with a couple of drop offs on the way. Round trip of around 40 miles or so. But that was in 2005 for my sister's wedding (central Scotland.)

HI, which company is this with? I think i'll go over the numbers with people as I'm sure some might want to drive as maybe not wanting to leave at the same time as the coach or for other reasons like work and stuff.

Where you are will impact on price. I'm not ordering one for the wedding, but regularly do when I take school trips. School is in Surrey and we pay £300 for a 53 seater for a full day (8.30am-4pm). That includes a driver. I imagine it would be cheaper if you just wanted it for an hour to make one trip.

I'm hiring coaches for my guests. Church to reception for day guests and for the evening guests, town to reception followed by reception to town. I'm looking at 3 figures for the hire.

I've made 'bus slips' for the invites so each guest can confirm if they want a seat on the bus and they send it back with their RSVP....
