Covid stag do 1 week before wedding

HappyBlueCakes6145, 11 March, 2021 at 12:30 Posted on Planning 0 1
Hi everyone my h2b is looking at booking his stag do a week before the wedding which in usual circumstances I wouldn’t have a problem with but I’m really worrying about if he gets Covid with being in big crowds and not long after restrictions ease. He mentioned another date 3 weeks before the wedding which would be 100x better as I wouldn’t be worrying but one of his friends has said he can’t make that date so he wants to go for the other date a week before instead. He is also having it as a joint stag with his friend so I feel like I have even less of a say in it. Am I being unreasonable here? He said it will be ok as everyone should of had their 1st vaccine by then but I was under the impression you can still get Covid with the vaccine it’s just less severe?!

    Hi!

I completely agree with your concerns here and i do know people who have had a vaccine, and then tested postitve for covid, thus having to isolate. Also if anyone was to contract covid it can be up to 10 days before symptoms show which means they might not know they have it at your wedding!

I think at the moment we all have to be extra careful when planning these parties and decide what the best option is, not only for our friends to be together but what is best for ourselves. A friend of mine is having an outdoor bbq in the summer and we are camping in her garden/living room rather than a night up town for that reason. I'm sure we will still have good fun! I hope you can both agree what would be best for you! Good luck
