Not watching, but what happened?

It appears the lady running the place let a lot of people down. Took orders worth thousands of pounds and left brides with nothing to show for it. Either got payment up front or had told brides their orders were in stock to obtain final payments then in a lot of cases nothing had been ordered! It's shocking.

Aww no, nightmare! Poor brides! Was it a dress supplier?

I think it was a dress shop primarily but she offered 'packages' so some brides had sourced their BM dresses, suits, even flowers and photographer and venue dressing through her, so their whole day was ruined.

It's at the bit where they have found the lady responsible and are going to have it out with her! I wonder what her attitude will be like...

Ah wish I'd watched it! I love rogue traders esp when they 'catch' them! That's horrid though, anytime is a bad time to rip someone off but on their wedding day how heartless can you get(!)

I watched it, it gave me the willies! How could she do that to one person and sleep at night, let alone any more, i dont know!

I watched it my H2B is on nights and i had to ring him to tell him, its scary to think that such horrid people are out there, the brides 2 be did well when they met her i wudnt have been able to control myself i wud have lamped her the rude smug cow.

The lady concerned was Sharon Keates...

I wish I had seen that, I had a job interview there a few years back when I lived down there.

I really feel for those poor brides they must be devastated.

I just couldn't believe that she could look those two ladies in the face and say 'I have no idea who you are'. No remorse whatsoever.

To say 'we didn't close - we moved the shop' makes it even worse, surely if you just moved the shop you could have fulfilled your obligations to the brides? Vile woman.

I thought it was terrible

Its alot of risk to put in to one company but to be honest the price for all of that was fantastic, No wonder people booked but the prices were obviously not sustainable.

I loved the end, When confronted blame the couples. - im surprised she got away with it for so long.

I didn't see it but have read lots of reviews about the same company on review sites. Some people have no conscience at all.

I remember reading about this - just terrible. How could you live with yourself, operating such a sham of a business!

I watched it too! what i found most scary is that it was just a normal wedding dress shop, i wouldn't think twice about handing over my cash! everyone worries about dresses from abroad but i wouldn't be worried at all if it was a shop here in the uk. i will be defantly researching the shops i buy wedding stuff from now, i look online for hours looking for reviews for togs and honeymoons i like, it never entered my mind i should be doing this for the dress shops too!

She moved to Portsmouth?

Someone I know had to make a mad dash elsewhere 2 days before her wedding as the dress 'hadn't arrived' into the Ashford store. Just dreadful!

Yeah she did! She even tried to have an employee arrested for letting brides into shop to get dresses that were paid for!

Apparently even though the whole Cowboy Traders thing highlighted her scams she 'stepped down' as owner (obv she didn't!?) and tbh some people have been really horrid saying if it was on there why are people still stupid enough to use her? My argument would be it was on channel 5!! Not exactly one of the top-rated channels.

I'm not directly affected, but do live in the area and have offered any assistance I can to help, just trying to raise awareness about it really in case others can help too..... obviously this has also opened up opportunity for even more scammers!? The community and local businesses have really stepped up to help these unlucky people tho. It's been a real lovely thing to see, just hoping all the ladies affected can get stuff sorted for there special days.
