I can't find the article but it does sound as if they've grown up to be normal teenagers. Considering the horror they witnessed as little kids, that can only be a good thing...

That's such a weird article. Why should we be shocked at 18 year olds acting like teenagers, just because they were involved in a shooting 13 years ago? Is the sunday Express saying we shouldn't have protected children from publicity because they were going to create bebo pages with swear words on them anyway?

Sadly disappointed that he could find no trace of sackcloth, ashes or lives spent in rubber rooms, our intrepid reporter turned to the 'information superhighway' to provide column inches and keep his snout in the trough.

Oh for goodness sake. I work in Dunblane and they sound no worse than the rest of the teenagers that are hanging around the pubs etc at the weekend. What a waste of good words.

    Hold the front page !

Teenage lads like drinking, swearing and girls

Mrs McLaren said yesterday she would consider confronting the survivors involved.

? I wonder how likely this is ?

Truly, truly awful - have they finally run out of stories about Princess Di and Hitler ?

Imagine them having the cheek to grow up into normal, rowdy, boastful teenagers. Wouldn't it be much better if they were all emotionally scarred shrinking violets who spend their days mourning their classmates. What utter tripe.

    WSS.

There are plenty of teenagers who behave like that all over the country. And no mention that perhaps they are boys full of bravado, so the actual comments might not even be true, not that it particularly matters if they are.

Another good reason not to buy the D.E.

    FFS. I'm disgusted.

I remember it as if it were yesterday and I'm from 30 miles away. Who can blame the kids who survived for wanting to to have a drink? I probably would too. It's probably only now they are older that it's really properly sinking in.

I can't read the whole article, is there any mention of Andy Murray?

While I'm sure that reading a normal teenager's Bebo profile - complete with wonderfully inventive txt spk - must be a traumatic experience for any literate adult...I can't get over how pointless and innappropriate this article is.

Oh please - they're 18 year olds not 8. Crikey if I were part of their community I would be hoping that they were living normal lives not condemning them for it - from the sounds of it they're managing relatively normal antics for top end teens!

It's a big alarming that no one seems to have spoken to them about e-safety. The DE pisses me off just by existing - slow news day?

Yeah, I noticed that Graham Linehan amongst others on twitter were commenting on this over the last few days and they've posted up the guardian link this morning...

It's appalling, really. I couldn't bring myself to read the original article as I knew it would make me so angry.

Well done Express, more wonderful journalism, just like their treatment of the McCanns. I hope they're forced to apologise and pay out damages again. Scum.

I too remember the Dunblane massacre. I think of it fairly often, actually. It was one of the lowest moments for Britain. I remember bursting into tears at work when we found out - I was working on a kids' show and we were all sat around in the office watching the news reports. My mum was a primary school teacher at the time and it really hit home - what should have been a normal day for the parents and the teachers' families turning into horror beyond comprehension

I'm actually really glad that the survivors are just getting the chance to lead their lives. How dare the Express judge them - how dare anyone judge them.

    Angry isn't the word.
