Deep red / wine wedding dress

KatieH, 21 April, 2008 at 17:09 Posted on Planning 0 19

Anyone seen any?

I've found one in the perfect colour but the skirt was a little too puffy. I now can't find a picture of it online anywhere though which is a little worrying as the shop it was in wasn't very organised so maybe they don't make it anymore. It was by Veromia 2360 if anyone else can find a piccy.

I'm looking for one that's princess or A-line and made from anything other than satin and has a bit of sparkly. Maybe I'm looking for the inpossible ?

    The designer was Veromia.

Jusy had a look at Hollywood dreams and they all seem to be bright red rather than deep red. I'm sure I saw one of their dresses in deep red though on the bay of e, but it had Jordan modelling it which put me off!!

I got married in red on April 9th. It wasn't a wedding dress, it was a prom dress off the shelf from a shop in town. It was a bright red with a black chiffon over the top and it was £400!

There are some pics on here:

I love Uptight Clothing who do a great range in alternative coloured wedding dresses.

The only downside is you have to get in there early! I asked about 15 months ago and she was fully booked ☹️

Thank you, I loved it ? If anyone is interested it was from a shop in Chichester called Arabella - they have loads of gorgeous dresses if you want anything other than white or ivory and all at reasonable prices. There is another shop next door called Mousetrap which sells really well priced coloured prom dresses (I actually bought another one there but decided to wear the first one after all - oops!)

Catherine Jane is worth a look, as QueenBee says. All their dresses can be made in the deep red colours, and although satin is an option, they can also all be done in silk dupion. www.catherinejane.com to find stockists.

Also have a look for a stockist of Benjamin Roberts style 1033. http://www.aliyarose.co.uk/br1033.htm It comes in the most amazing shade of burgundy. Any Benjamin Roberts stockist that has this dress will have swatches of the colours it comes in, so would be able to show you the burgundy colour. You can find stockists by visiting www.benjaminroberts.co.uk

We stock both, but unfortunately we're in scotland, so a bit far away from you! But I'm sure you'll find somewhere that does both these lines of dresses in the midlands.

Where are you based? I bought mine from a little local wedding shop - they make them themselves

I'm in Cheltenham, by the way.

We got married last year - we had a small family ceremony in the reg office, then a big humanist ceremony the next day at the Daffodil.

I really miss the planning ?
