What's the most hideous drink you've ever consumed? Last night I was introduced to brandy & ginger wine. Was hideous. ? Drinking on a school night is not big or clever, chaps.

    Oooh, Spangles, I'm partial to a whisky and dry in the winter!

    Definitely most hideous drink = tequila. Most horrible concoction = "a fustian with port drunk from the Captain's shoe", probably best not to ask, and definitely wise not to sample.

    Do you have hang over cures at your disposal?

    I'm yet to come across a bad one!

    Actually, I take that back. My OH once made me a red wine spritzer. Yes, seriously. It was hideous!

    Home made Baileys! I didn't make it, drank it to be polite. I'm not a fan of real Baileys, but the home made version was rank - when I found out what was in it, made me want to ? - even though I'd finished it by then!

    Tequila is minging, fact. I am intrigued about the fustian dooberrywotsit.

    Overhang cures - have so far consumed coffee and eaten fruit and fibre. Not cutting the mustard.

    Most horrible conccoction? Jagermeister and Red Bull..since it has become so popular, ive thrown up more time then i care to remember!!

    I second the tequila. I'm not sure what the worst concoction is, I don't think I've had many that have been particlarly yucky.

    ATB - homemade Baileys sounds vile! Reminds me, I once mixed blue Aftershock with milk as there were no other mixers.*

    *I think it's safe to assume I was completely gazeboed when I did this.

    Mr C makes drink concoctions all the time.

    A few weeks back at 3am it was the "Powershot" - strong coffee, disaronno and 70% proof rum!!

    They all have names... there is the "Toad of Toad Hall", "Copper Top Pink Back" and "Gordon the Gecko" of which I can remember.

    On his Stag weekend his mates bought him a "Top Shelf" - a pint glass full of shots from the top shelf... he liked it so much he made the barman write down what was in it before ordering himself a second!!!!

    I however can't stomach mixing foul drinks and stick to the 'normal' ones!! ?

    I love jagerbombs in theory but they always get me completely meringued and give me the world's worst hangover. H's best (wo)man discovered my jagerbomb virginity on my wedding day and insisted that I spend the rest of the night drinking them. I felt very poorly the next day!

    Never tried one, but the idea of a White Russian makes me feel a bit ill.

    Oooh, I make homemade Bailey's and it's lush (and pretty foolproof - am perplexed). If you alter the condensed milk/cream ratios, you can make something that changes from after dinner drink to ice-cream topping Smiley smile

    I make it with one part whiskey, two parts condensed milk, two parts single cream, one teaspoon of coffee (dissolved in water), a splash of vanilla extract.

    Yes raw eggs and condensed milk is never going end well....

    It was along the lines of a white russian. Milk and booze really should never meet. Just drink it straight!!! (diluting juice and vodka is surprisingly nice!!)

    I drank a bottle straight when I was 15 (not big or clever kids) and proceeded to spend the next 4 hours being sick all over myself.

    15 years later and I still cant stomach the smell so any drink containing the vile stuff is out!

    When I worked abroad we had a drink called an F.O.B. It was a mixture of diamond white, castaway, vodka, peach schnapps and grenadine. I was quite happy to drink them when I was 18 but the very thought of it now ?. I am not sure you can even buy diamond white or castaway anymore?

    Diamond White used to a staple of my teenage drinking days. That along with Thunderbird ? and Ice Dragon cider.
