Disco and buffet caterer recommendations Bristol/North Somerset

31 January, 2009 at 09:21 Posted on Planning 0 5

Hello, I haven't posted on here for ages but thank you all for helping me with thoughts when I have been 'lurking'!

We're having a very informal evening party for about 100 in April and I really need to get on and organise a disco and caterer.....I am sure I am not so last minute in the rest of my life!

With the disco do people now provide playlists as the norm or just trust the DJ? We'd like some 80s, 90s dance and a bit of today in there so nothing too outrageous I guess but I do not want a selection of agadoo and the hokey cokey (although Whigfield may have to get a mention...)

We'd like a buffet with some interesting things in it - I wanted mini fish & chips but not sure if its going to be possible.

Does anyone have any recommendations for this area or things I need to think about?

thank you

If you want a hog roast, paella or BBQ, I can totally recommend these people... http://olishogs.co.uk who are based in Bristol.

They did our catering and were brilliant, and the food was soooo yummy and v reasonable price too.

    Hi ya

The two disco's I use for my weddings who I know cover everywhere (based in Cheltenham/Gloucester) are Bonehead Productions http://www.bonehead-productions.com/ and Surround Sound http://www.surround-sounds.co.uk/index.php. With regard to catering companies I recommend Relish in Cirencester and Recipe for Success in Cheltenham but you might want someone nearer for that.

Hello I live in Bristol and a friend of ours is doing all the catering for our wedding. He also does all the catering for Deal or no deal and the food that he has produced for us is incredible. He is called Luke and his business e mail is: ****@*****.**.**.

Sounds like your buffet will be the same as our evening do and after our tasting last week i'd definitely recomend them to anyone.
