diy rose petal confetti going damp???

Emma, 1 of June of 2021 at 22:38 Posted on Usage Tips 0 6
Hi gang!

I’ve been drying rose petals using the microwave and oven method and storing them in a glass coffee jar but the petals keep going soggy after a few hours.
Any ideas please?! 🙏🏼

So i've been doing any petals we get from bunches of flowers. Ive put them onto a tray and put them in my airing cupboard for a few days. I haven't heard of doing them in the microwave before only the oven. Have you tried that?

    Hi Aimee,

Thank you - I’ll give it a go! What are you storing them in after until the big day??

I’m just using an air tight plastic Tupperware tub. So far so good! Good luck xx

I’d recommend a cardboard box to help reduce problems with damp. I’ve got a silica gel packet in mine too. Good luck!

That silica gel is genius!! Do you just have the petals loose in a cardboard box?
