D.I.Y Table Centrepieces. Need help sourcing items please :)

TheFutureMrsB , 10 June, 2014 at 20:14 Posted on Planning 0 13

Evening ladies, seeing as I doubled my budget on my dress last weekend I am going to have to make my own centrepieces for the tables. I'm looking for cylinder vases in 3 different heights, floating candles, calla lily's (not sure if I'm supposed to use fresh or faux?) and maybe mirror plates and crystals. Can anyone point me in the right direction for websites to get them at a fairly reasonable price please ? Thanks

Try Country Baskets too. You can get most things from there. X

Second ikea and the range, got most of mine in there £1 a vase. Also keep an eye on pound shops and b&m if you have one near you - I pop in the pound shops on my lunch breaks an see lots of lovely things. Nice tea light holders in pastel colours in at the moment, Home bargains have a wedding range too.

I am planning on making these exact centre pieces. Mirrors are £2-3 from the range, vases I dont know yet but have seen some to hire on ebay. My florist said to use fresh lillies and sparking water ( bubbles stick to lillies for a nice effect)

I'm having single stems of calla lilies in glass vases on some of my tables. I'm trying to grow my own (I say trying because of the four flowers that have bloomed so far from the two bulbs I planted only one is still alive!). If I don't have the 9 I need in the next couple of weeks I'll order from a florist.

I got almost everything for mine from Country Baskets and it came in cheaper than just the flowers would have been online. I'm using fake flowers.

Not sure how the cost compares to DIY-ing, but Argos have a set for £14.99

You should be able to get all of those at Rainbow Florist Supplies. Their website can be a bit slow sometimes but worth persevering!
