diy Videography

Rebecca, 26 August, 2022 at 07:50 Posted on Planning 1 4
Hi! Having a professional videographer on our day is out of our budget but we had signed up to Videocrew where guests can take images and videos, upload it and then editors will create a video from the uploads at a fraction of the price. Unfortunately they're going out of business which is a real shame as they had great reviews and their work looks good. Has anyone got any recommendations for an alternative? Thank you!

Hey Rebecca I’m so sad about vidicrew too! Have been doing some research and We Snap That, Scripin Wedshoots and Wedbox have come up so far but need to dig into each one to see what’s best. I’m really looking for something very simple that can host original quality video clips - I don’t need blimmin filters or social media or livestream capabilities…! If anyone has used any of these feedback would be greatly appreciated Smiley smile

It really is sad! I've found We Snap That too and it sounds like a good plan B but doesn't look like it's got the editing for an actual video option. Will definitely check out the others. There's ones I've found that look similar to Vidicrew although they're US based and they'd send out the cameras instead so not very practical. We'll find so etching I'm sure! 🤞

When I get a chance to look at the others I’ll let you know - you’ve definitely got it harder trying to find a replacement with editing as my boyfriend is an editor and wants to do ours, we just wanted somewhere to collate the footage. Have also seen someone say they found one which had the t and c that the company would own any and all footage uploaded to the app (and could do whatever it liked with it!) so worth checking the t and cs on anything you find. The search goes on Smiley smile
