Do bands like to have a minimum number of guests?

I would really like a decent live band at our wedding reception but we're only having a "small" wedding - approx 90 guests once you include the evening invitees. I keep having a nightmare that we've got an amazing band but only my girlfriends and me actually on the dance floor .... Is this something I can control?! Is it down to choosing a good band that suits the event/audience, or is it just not going to work unless we have double the number of guests? Any advice gratefully recieved!

We went to a wedding in November and they had a great band. Their wedding was quite small around 60 people but everyone seemed to enjoy the band. It is up to them if they dance or just listen. I think there was a good propoertion who were about the same age, so it worked. If there had been a lot of oldies it may not have gone down as well.
