View quoted message Everyone was great with it. Originally we were going to go off and do it alone in Vegas the fact we did it at home was good.
My parents were great as you can see from my dad's suit (which he suprised me with)
The husbands grandma had to get on board a little more as she is religious but they all understood this was how we wanted it and we were doing it this way x
There was so much love and laughter in room which is what we wanted

It breaks my heart seeing all the drama and anxiety all these lovely ladies (and men) put themselves through trying to please everyone AND make the perfect day.

I feel being strong from the get go and saying "this is how it will be" made it easier and at risk of sounding like a knob we were very much like if people didn't like it they don't have to come.
We did the register at 2pm with both mothers, his grandma and my best friend only Then we hot tailed it to what we called the proper wedding foe 4pm where we had around 40 guest (my family is big and we don't have kids)If you really wanna do something for the family and friends to shut them up do a little lunch or something after the event at home or something Drinks and nibbles - sorted ha ha
