No ? I like really brightly coloured, preferably sparkly, stripy or even a little bit silly socks but I don't otherwise dress like that...I am definitely out of sorts if my bra & knicks don't match but that's not really the same thing!
All of my socks, with the exception of a few trainer socks for the rare occasions I do exercise, are black. Though most of my clothes are black too, so in that case, yes, they match my outfit ?
I only do to the extent that if I'm wearing black trousers/shoes ie for work then I will wear black socks too otherwise I'm just lucky if I can find a clean pair!
I am exactly the same, I'm obsessed with stars so any that I see with those on are bought, I also like rainbow ones and stuff. I really do like the fact that I might be dressed a bit dully for my office job - due to it's location and nature it's not worth wearing a suit, nor is a skirt practical - so I do like jazzing my outfits up with my socks!
Yes - doesn't everyone? I also match my bra and underpants to my cothes. It means I need a silly number of sets, but I like knowing it's all co-ordinated.
Specifically not an ambulance test for me either. The only time I don't wear co-ordinated underwear and socks is when I'm racing my motorbike. Specifically because the chances of it being cut off are greater, and no-one's coming near my Myla or Rigby and Peller with scissors. Everytime I've had underwear cut off the hospital staff have commented later that my aneasthetised (sp?) rantings were all complaints about my knickers being cut...Meh, cheap M&S is perfectly adequate for ambulance staff*...
*Not that I don't really, really appreciate the work they do. Here's to ambos and A&E staff - they do a fabulous job under difficult conditions. However, me wearing expensive underwear isn't going to impact on their job, so I'll stick to cotton briefs.
Yes I do, and as an ex-only-black-socks girl who's now an any-colour-as-long-as-it's-not black girl, I much prefer a nice patterned sock. Easier to match, weirdly. None of this holding them up to the light to see if it's the same shade of black as the other one which looks quite similar.
No, I don't, I have such a range of socks from the reindeer ones with bells on that I am wearing at the moment to thigh high black with coloured spots bought in Canada. I have fun with my socks, esp when I have a job that has a uniform with trousers! I need something to brighten up my day!
My underwear rarely matches either, think I have 2 maybe 3 sets that match and even then it's not often i wear em together!
Mine are from next with the days of the week on - not only do i wear odd ones ie thursday with sunday - but i then get confused and don't know what day of the week it is
er, no. I'm lucky if they match each other, I have a small child whose favourite game is to strew socks around the room before handing me a random selection. I wear whatever I can.
I have a pair of slipper socks but otherwise when I need to wear a pair (rarely do - don't wear them with Uggs, socks wouldn't work with my shoes - I don't wear trainers) I borrow a pair of H's socks.
You coloured sock wearing folk are making me feel like I'm missing out ?
I think all my preferences about dress and the way I keep my house would go out the window with children about. When I was a nanny I was satisfied as long as I was sufficienctly dressed to avoid public alarm. Puke-free clothes were a rare bonus.
If i'm wearing socks i'm usually wearing jeans or long trousers and boots. No-one can see them, so I usually wear whatever coloured socks come out of the drawer first, most of the time they match each other, sometimes not even that! I own lots of stripey socks, coloured socks, black socks and some manky white trainer socks which I must have had for at least 7 or 8 years. Can't bring myself to chuck them out...
