Used to love that bread as a kid and everyone seemed to buy it, what happened to it I'm sure you can't get it anymore

I remember it, it made good toast. I'm sure some of the 50/50 loaves are similar now, just without the bits.

The bag had a blonde boy on it.

I remember it - didn't it have 'bits' in it? I'm sure I remember hating it!

My dad used to love Mighty White but only with lurpak unsalted butter. Nothing else or he'd have a fit!

Funny you mention this bread as I was making a sandwich at work with my Kingsmill 50/50 and a colleague asked if it was Mighty White.

You can make something similar to mighty white (only nicer, and with good crusts) if you use mostly white bread flour and 40% Doves Farm Organic malthouse flour. Yum.

You could get it up till a few years ago, I remember Mr R having a manflu craving for Mighty White with Dairylea spread on it as that's what his gran used to give him when he was ill when he was a little boy. Bless.
