Does frosted glass cut out light?

Twiglet girl, 19 June, 2008 at 16:45 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 1

We have a smallish bathroom window with frosted glass. The bathroom's fairly gloomy and I'm wondering if plain glass would let in more light. It's not really overlooked and we have a blind for privacy.

I've tried to experiment by opening and shutting the window, but then I'm losing the wondow frame as well as the glass, so it's not a real test.

Sooo... I'm presuming frosted glass has got to cut some light out, but does anyone know for definite?

?

Yes, it does cut out some light. There are plenty of wibbly wobbly glass patterns that stop people seeing in that are clear and let all the light in though

I'd be happy to change it to plain clear as noone can see in, but just wanted to be sure that it will make a difference.

Sounds like it will then, so ?
