Does the Groom where a different colour cravat??

My OH was thinking of having a cravat with the other guys wearing ties in the same colour as him. But I'm leaving it up to him to decide on the boys attire !!

He can wear whatever he likes really.... it's your wedding not anyone elses!

But traditionally, the groom might wear ivory while the others wear a colour.

My lot are wearing this below. They will all have the blue waistcoat but groom will have an ivory cravat instead of the blue just to differentiate slightly..

I don't think the groom is 'meant' to wear the same colour or whatever really it's entirely up to you (or your h2b). Mine wore the same colour as it suited him.

Mine did. It made him stand out more....

It's up to you! My OH and best man are wearing purple cravats and the rest are wearing sage green.

There's now real 'rule' to it. It's up to the groom I suppose. My OH is wearing a pink cravat and the rest of the groomsmen will wear brown (our colours) so that he sticks lout a bit. I have been to weddings where I didn't know the groom and they were all wearing the same and so it was difficult to tell who was the groom ?

Your wedding it's up to you and OH, my OH is wearing a carvat to match the BM's dress, cut from the same material, the rest are wearing silver that we have hired with their suits, we wanted him to be slightly different and it gives me something of his for the wedding box with the colour of the day.

I hadnt really thought about it and now you have me thinking! lol, we are having Gerberas as dasiys are my favourite flower im having a mis of hot and pale pink in my bouquet BM the same in a smaller version and the grooms men are having either hot or pale and i suppose the groom will wear an ivory/white one they are all wearing grey suits with pale pink cravat. Im going to have a look online now! haha x

When OH was best man last year for his friends the men in the bridal party wore a different colour, however all our men will be wearing the same colour.
