mariets, 28 January, 2009 at 21:18 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 12

I just looked on line to order some pizzas and was really shocked by the cost. Four regulars and one small, plus a starter came to almost £65.00. !!!!

They're doing the 555 deal at the moment, and there are 50% off and bogof offers doing the rounds if you scoot about the information super highway.

I only buy at Domino pizza if they are doing special offers, 2 for £10 etc.

Get to Pizza Hut for their happy hour. Mon-Fri 3-6pm, garlic bread, pizza and drink for £4. ?️

Dunno about takeaway pizza but could I just express my shock and outrage that the pizza I got for Mr L to have for his tea tonight (and ate all of) was 1000 calories and 40g of fat. It was just a normal sized pizza, nothing silly, can't remember what make - Bottega something or other perhaps.

Shocker. I think that's the last pizza I buy....

I'm not surprised it came to that much it's so expensive. We got Dominos on Saturday night but only because it was BOGOF so we got 2 large pizzas for about £15.

On the subject of calories I was looking in the Weight Watchers eating out book and a single slice of a small Dominos pizza is something like 3 and a half points!

Asda's make your own pizzas are lovely. They were doing 2 10" pizzas for £4 which was great value. I think that deal has ended now but is still good value. I love spicy pizzas but not a fan of pepperoni on pizzas as I find its often plasticy so I love being able to choose my own toppings. Garlic base, spicy beef and jalapenos mmm ?

You can usually get at least 25% off Dominos if you look at the voucher code sites.

Have to agree with Cosmo though - Asda pizzas are nice (and very cheap)

We had a Singstar night on Saturday and had Dominos. It's my new favourite pizza brand.
My friend brought round some vouchers, 50% off so for 2 large, 1 medium, 1 small pizza, and 2 sharing starters it was just under £30.

    Yeah sorry about that!

It's a nice treat though every now and again (as long as you only have a couple of slices and nothing else for the rest of the day)!

It's not just me then..We hardly ever have pizza, but we had a few visitors and fancied something easy but that was way OTT. We ended calling the local kebab house instead and it came to £25.00.
