Doubled barrelled name

Hi jist wondering if anyone could advise.


My partner has a double barrelled name, as part of our marriage i only want to take part. Can this be done and can he drop part of the double barrelled?
If not and this needs to be done by deed pole, can you book ceremony then change name?
