Dress Storage for postponed wedding

RomanticGreenStationery27135, 7 of June of 2020 at 14:09 Posted on Planning 0

Hi all

We have had to postpone our wedding, which was due at the end of June. We are planning to go ahead as soon as restrictions are lifted enough for weddings with 2 witnesses to take place, but meanwhile, my wedding dress is hanging in my wardrobe.

I've got an ordinary dress cover for it (one of those cheapy fabric ones that feel almost like very thick paper), but a couple of people have told me horror stories of dresses turning yellow in the wrong storage bags. Should I be worried? How should I store it to make sure it is ok for my wedding day?

We're hoping to be able to marry by August at the earliest, as the surrounding countries are allowing basic wedding ceremonies in June or July, so hopefully we won't be too far behind. So the dress will hopefully only need to be stored for another 2-3 months at most. Will it be ok as it is?
