Dresses

Hi everyone,

I think I'm about to make a very big booboo😫 so I signed myself up to be a model for a wedding fayre at the weekend, I've never tried any dresses on before and had an idea of what sort of dress I wanted. Well tomorrow I go to the bridal shop to try on dresses for the fashion show and I'm worried the dresses I had my eye on will end up being dresses I won't like or if I like them guest may see from the website if it goes on there. From someone who has never tried on a wedding dress other then probably my aunties 20 odd years ago what would you ladies suggest. TIA ❤️

Is it too late to pull out? I guess not, so I think you need to look at it sa a good oppurtunity to try on some styles. If you find a couple you love maybe ask the shop that you do not wear these in the show, as they may be your potential dress so you dont want there to be picutures of you in them on a public site. Try not to worry too much, your wedding is over 2 years away so I dont think people will remember, also, they will only see the site if you tell tem to look at it so maybe dont tell anyone, as really you want the first time people see you in a wedding dress is on your big day. Hope you have fun and dont overthink it x

Hey Chloe, no need to worry—trying on wedding dresses for the first time can feel overwhelming, but it’s also super exciting! I’d suggest keeping an open mind and trying on a variety of styles, even ones you wouldn’t normally pick, because sometimes the dress you least expect ends up being “the one.” Focus on how each dress makes you feel rather than just how it looks online, and don’t stress too much about others seeing your photos from the fashion show—after all, it’s all part of the fun and experience. Bring a trusted friend for honest opinions, and remember comfort matters as much as style. For some inspiration, you could check out Arabella Mia xxbrits fashion pages to see trending wedding dress styles and get ideas without pressure.

Go into the fitting with an open mind but don’t let the runway energy overshadow what you actually want for your big day. Snap pics if you can of the styles that click (or don’t) to look back on later, and pay extra attention to how each dress feels—comfort beats fancy runway vibes any day. As for guests seeing it online, most market gowns are samples or event-exclusive, so your exact pick is unlikely to pop up on their feeds!

Hi Chloe, don’t worry—trying on wedding dresses for the first time can feel overwhelming, but it’s also really fun! I’d suggest keeping an open mind and trying a variety of styles, even ones you didn’t initially consider, because sometimes a dress surprises you in the best way. Focus on what makes you feel confident and comfortable, rather than worrying too much about what guests might see online. Think of it like how XXBRITS showcases fashion—creators experiment with different looks on the platform, discovering trends and styles they never imagined before. Most importantly, enjoy the experience and trust your instincts—you’ll know the right dress when you try it on!
