Drinks tokens?

Kaz_2468, 14 July, 2008 at 13:30 Posted on Planning 0 2

Instead of having an open bar we would like to give our guests tokens which they can exchange in the bar for their first drink of the evening (I don't want to have an open bar!). What could we use?

You could use raffle tickets but I think they look a bit cheap.

You could make up your own token with card and a cutter?

I think raffle tickets are fine personally. they're only going to be handed over and thrown away - its not like any of the guests will keep them!!

We got ours printed at Vistaprint. Waited for the offers to come through via email and then made up 250 premium business cards with our theme with "thanks for coming have a drink on us" or words to that effect. The cards were free and I only had to pay postage which works out about £5 (which is where they make their message), you can get like 1000 for £20 or something if you needed more.

Then we have black and white raffle tickets for later in the night (we are running a charity bar for donations which all goes to an african charity I worked for), this is how sad i am - black and white is our colour scheme and i even covered the raffle tickets to hide the cover and fit in with our theme!

    hehe!
