Dry Hire Venues or Lovely Pub with Function Room in South East London

hillem, 30 November, 2015 at 10:36 Posted on Planning 0 3

Hi Everyone,

I am wondering if you can kindly help us. We are looking to hire either a dry hire venue or pub with a function room in SE London but we are coming up a little stuck. Our budget all in is £12k for 65-70 people for a sit down reception.

We've looked at places such as the Rosendale, EDT, The Crown etc and The Livsey and Anerley Hall but does anyone have perhaps any further suggestions?

Many thanks

Emily

SE London used to be my stomping ground. When you say you are coming up a little stuck, do you mean it is too expensive? I would have thought your budget would be sufficient (but I may be completely out-of-touch with current prices).

Have you thought about the Camberwell Arms:

The Grand Union (Camberwell) has a snug but for up to 50 people only:

Peckham Rye also has a few nice pubs:

Herne Hill is a nice area too and I am sure there will be a few nice pubs.

South London Gallery is available for hire from autumn 2016 onwards:

Peckham Registry Office is on the same road as the Gallery.

I could go on and on...

    Hope this helps.

I should have explained, we want to pay for all of our guests drinks as well so when looking for a venue that has a big hire charge and an already licensed bar our budget is getting smaller.

Some of those are pubs I've definitely been too and worth checking out - thank you! Unfortunately the Union would be too small, and we can't wait until the Autumn next year, but still great ideas.

    Thank you again!

Try http://www.trafalgartavern.co.uk/ , it's a beautiful venue, though I don't know the prices I'm afraid. I've shot several weddings there and its always looked great.

I saw this wedding report and thought of you:

I don't know if the fact that it has been included in a bridal magazine means it will be expensive or not but here's the link to the website:
