I have some coconut macaroons from tesco, they have paper on the bottom. I’ve tried to pick it off but it won’t come! Can you eat the paper??

I don't think there's anything wrong with eating paper. The body will just pass it through like anything else it can't digest.

    I like the paper!

I spent some time eating tissues in the past, that's not good for you, or as tasty as macaroon paper.

I'm not sure how dumb the question is as I have no idea what a coconut macaroon is!

I remember reading an article a while ago about a woman who developed an addiction to eating sponges and soap after having a tapeworm parasite, so I'm sure a bit of paper isn't going to kill you!

HT - you need some coconut macaroons in your life!

I saw that peanut, it was in chat magazine or something else equally classy. She was going through a multipack a day of sponges. Odd.

Ha yeah in my defence it was lying around in the staff room at work! Apparently she's managed to wean herself off and cut it down to one sponge a day...

I wouldn't worry, I wouldn't have known it was edible. I had a call off a friend tonight. He didn't know how to boil potatoes. He actually said "How do I boil these potatoes?" .. Erm, just boil them? ?
