Easter bonnet ideas? UPDATED

Right Hitchers

With the wedding and overload of uni work on the cards, I have let my halo slip and neglected to sort out an Easter bonnet for the parade at my daughters school this Thursday.

Now this is bad, because I am v creative even the opportunity, but mainly bad because I HAVE to win. The moms at the school are all so bloody precious, and I know I can come away with the title if I can create a masterpiece in time.

So what do I make? I have limited time/cash available - but all the will in the world.

Any ideas?

    Not a clue even what Easter Bonnets are supposed to look like nowadays but for ideas is it worth looking either on etsy or Pinterest for ideas??

    I've just had a look on Pinterest because I didn't have a clue what they should look like. There's quite a few ideas but they all look pretty difficult, to me anyway! Xx

    Not strictly your traditional easter bonnet, but I once won a competition with an upside down magician's top hat. Make a top hat out of card covered in metallic or glittery wrapping paper. Leave the top open (when you turn upside down your head goes here). Make a few playing cards to stick on the front in a fan shape. Then put a strip of card inside to secure a small stuffed toy rabbit sticking up coming out of the upside down hat. You're done!

    I was going to suggest something similar to Helen with the rabbit, but then with other easter things around it :-)
