I hope someone can help us, we are getting married in 2 weeks at Monmouthshire Register Office, Couny Hall, Usk, NP15 1GA. We want it done in the quickest way possible, with the minimum of fuss, as such we have booked the very basic register office ceremony, all done and dusted in 5-10 mins. We are not having any friends or family involved, just to keep things as minimalistic as possible. This does give us the issue of finding 2 witnesses though, this can't be provided by the register office.
Our plan is to try and find someone on the day in county hall, who would act as a witness for us, the office is in a quite rural location. If at all possible we would like to sort this out ahead of time, as such I was just wondering if there was anyone here who was within striking distance of Monmouthshire, and might be prepared to act as witness for us?
Our appointment is Weds August 27th at 4pm, we can't offer much in return, just gratitude, travel expenses, a bottle of wine and cuddles with our little cavapoo puppy.
