In the midst of all your booking, don't forget to book the registrar! Depending on how big the local registry office is, there may not be that many registrars available, and you don't want to find they're all fully booked for your big day!

Wow - you are super organised arranging that in less than a week - did you already know where you wanted to get married? We got engaged in August and have just booked our venue and registrar (June 2022) - I'm a bit scared to book too much else given it's still so far away.

I feel super confident booking things because it’s so far away. I’d rather that than find there’s no availability for things. I’ve already been told there’s no availability for a few photographers for our date—which is 18 months away.

Given what you've said I might start looking at the big stuff now - photographer, band etc. if they're starting to book up already.

Congratulations on your engagement! Well done for being so organised with all the preparations!! My fiancé and I are due to get married on 27th March 2022 and we'll be together 6 years by then. We have booked the first main things including the venue,catering, DJ and photographer. I mainly anxious about the wedding because it's still a while away and lack in confidence a bit with the whole thing. How do you manage to keep yourself so busy with the wedding planning so soon? Have you got any tips on what we can use to help with wedding anxiety?

I'm getting married in April 2022. I know exactly how you feel with the anxiety. What makes it worse is that our wedding venue is in Essex (where I'm from) and we live in Hampshire so with all this COVID teirs, we can't visit the venue. We've got it pencilled in and the venue are so wonderful and understanding but I'm still thinking, shall I book my registrar? What if it all goes tits up?
Do you reckon we should book the registrar now or wait till we are eventually able to see the venue? I just don't want the registrar to get fully booked and we have to move our wedding.

I can completely understand your frustration for not seeing your chosen wedding venue with all the travel restrictions in place. I would book a registrar if you believe that the venue is 100% what you want. I haven't booked a registrar yet, but aiming to have it done in the next couple of weeks hopefully

Can I just say, I feel like we were separated at birth? We got engaged not too long ago and within weeks I had booked the venue, photographer, cake maker etc.. basically we sound very alike and we are also getting married in April 2022! I will also be trying to make any extra bits I can for the wedding as I love crafting.
