Entertainment for only 6 guests!?!

RomanticYellowDecor469, 23 October, 2015 at 05:00 Posted on Planning 0 2

Hi lovely people, please can you help.

We've brought our wedding forward and I now have 14 weeks to plan a wedding from scratch!!

We were going to have the most beautiful wedding but costs and guest lists spiralled out of control so now it's just our parents and siblings coming.

im really struggling at what entertainment will be possible/realistic to have in the afternoon, we're likely having our reception at a Inn in a national trust site.

What do you think? x

We only have two guests and I'm wondering the same thing. I'm covered till about 9 pm as the wedding isn't until 4.30. Then we are going in the hotel bar for wedding cake and wine after our meal. Our guests have been married 50 years when we go to get married so I'm thinking of challenging them to a game of mr and mrs questions. 50 years vs newleyweds. Loser buys a round of drinks. Some of the answers should give us a good laugh too.

Will be watching this with interest to see if I can spot anything else.

For very small weddings, I think tasteful live music would be best. Eg a harpist or string duo.

We had a very small celebration with just parents, siblings (and their partners) too. There were 14 of us total.

We had some games that everyone could get involved in or watch.

We had a sack race, which was good fun for those taking part and watching. I may have gone down in my wedding dress, twice, but it was hilarious and i'm so pleased we did it!

We also had some smaller table games- things like a magic 8 ball that people could ask funny questions. Which sounds simple enough but kept people amused and the reaction photos will be funny!

We also tried to make our guestbook entertaining. Rather than just blank pages, we stuck in photos and asked people to "Caption this" for example

We wrote a sentence and asked guests to finish it, asked them to share a memory about us, or "vote" who they thought was the best driver. Silly things like that!
