Entertainment ideas

You may not actually need anything but it depends on how long the section from end of ceremony to call in for wedding breakfast is. Most of the time it is 1.5 hours but consider that you will be mingling chatting having photos so the time will fly by. And then with the wedding breakfast people will be eating.

Some kinds of entertainment can actually slow down the photos as a group of people may be needed for a photo but they are being entertained.

Most people opt for some sort of live music for entertainment which can move inside for the meal but you are then looking at a long hire.

Would your welcome drinks be more like a cocktail hour? I’m not too sure with all the terms but here I am 😂.
This is what we are planning on doing during our cocktail hour, walking around and welcoming guests and trying to speak to as many people as possible and take photos with them. I don’t think you will need entertainment (save your coin), you and your husband walking around and speaking to everyone is entertainment enough believe me. People will be exited to congratulate you guys and might not be able to come and speak to you during reception, so I would say take the time to speak to as many people as possible thanking them personally for coming to your big day and snap a photo with them.

During the photo part we had a cocktail hour with canapés served so people had something to drink and eat whilst waiting for the wedding breakfast. We had music list playing. No need for entertainment as guests just spoke among themselves in between having photos taken.

Thank you all. We have booked a small entertainment for this part of the day that doesn’t require a stop start for our guests. He will mingle amongst them and provide them with entertainment whilst they wait.
