Entertainment suggestions. Help!

Louise, 9 February, 2022 at 08:53 Posted on Planning 0 10
Hi all,

I hope someone can help me
My partner and I are getting married on 1st September at 4pm
We have around 60 guests, are having a pizza food truck caterer, I'm going to be bringing in local drinks etc. I'm just really stuck for entertainment ideas.
We have to be out of the barn by 9pm which suits us.
My other half doesn't want any dancing at the wedding, but he also doesn't like playing games. I've had so many ideas such as pub quiz (he doesn't want), board games (he dislikes), mobile escape room (he wasn't a fan), I even suggested a mobile rock climbing wall, archery, Lazer tag, bouncy castle but he doesn't want to do anything.
Bit of background on us - we are a non traditional couple. Have keen interest in classic cars and asking our guests to bring theirs. We love all things French.
I'm worried people are going to be bored at the wedding, but should I be? Am I putting too much pressure on 5 hours and just be ok with people chatting and background music. (I could look into hiring a jazz pianist)
I've spoke to a few people and they think that we have to have something - some people are already upset that they have to take a whole day off work for 4 hours.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance

I do think you need some form of entertainment for your guests - 5 hours is a long time to stand around and chat (although, by the time you’ve got married, will be less time!). Given that your partner has said no to all your ideas, what are his suggestions?
I know you said your partner doesn’t like games but not sure what you have suggested - what about pétanque (going for the French angle!)/ other garden games. We’ve having hook a duck and a coconut shy - casual type things that people can choose to play (or not!). Also (alternatively) what about something like a magician who can wonder around and entertain guests? Or something involving the cars (although I’m struggling to know what!)
    Good luck

Did you try him with a caricaturist ? they can be fun not only for the person seeing the result but also for everyone else watching. They also get to take something home. That will only cover a couple of hours but you do not need to fill every second with something to do. Its your wedding to choose whatever entertainment you feel but perhaps its worth remembering that the entertainment is primarily there for the guests.

Instead of a jaz pianist how about an acoustic duet that people may even fancy having a dance to.

But wow what great a selection -- mobile escape room / mobile rock climbing / archery, Lazer tag / bouncy castle. I have seen plenty of bouncy castles and an archery session, not sure how an escape room would work because it would only entertain those that are in it but the climbing wall would also entertain everyone watching.

The archery was well attended and fun for the guests.

I would also say jazz is a really love/hate style of music. I know I’m just making this more difficult for you, sorry! Classical instead of jazz might be less emotive, unless you know everyone will enjoy jazz. As another poster has said, perhaps hubby can come up with some ideas since he has pooh poohed everything you’ve suggested so far.

I was recently searching for interesting entertainment offers and stumbled upon DubiBet by chance, which is featured on the website https://arabtopcasino.com/casino/dubibet/ . Honestly, it was a real discovery for me! The platform offers more than just gambling, but a whole world of vibrant emotions and pleasure. It boasts a huge selection of slots, table games, and a live casino with real dealers, creating the atmosphere of a real gambling club. I especially liked how stable the site is, the interface is intuitive, and the bonus offers are simply generous—a pleasant surprise even for regular players. I often visit here in the evenings to unwind after work, and every time I find something new. DubiBet is a great combination of entertainment and excitement, definitely worth trying for anyone looking for high-quality and reliable online entertainment.

A lovely dilemma — and as noted in wedding-tradition discussions on Wikipedia, many ceremonies succeed with simple, meaningful elements like shared conversation, light music, and personal touches that reflect the couple’s identity, so a relaxed setting with classic cars and a jazz pianist can still feel engaging and authentic.
From my experience, planning logistics and guest coordination — especially when people travel or manage connectivity needs like tnt sim registeration — matters more than packing the schedule with activities, so focusing on comfort and flow can keep everyone at ease.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts — it already sounds warm, personal, and memorable, and your guests will likely enjoy the atmosphere as much as the celebration itself.

It sounds like you and your partner have a unique style, and it’s completely fine to embrace a wedding that’s relaxed and conversation-focused rather than packed with traditional entertainment. With 60 guests and a 5-hour window, people will likely enjoy mingling, admiring the classic cars, and enjoying the food and drinks you’ve planned. Subtle enhancements like hiring a jazz pianist or having a curated playlist can create a pleasant atmosphere without forcing activities. If you do want a light interactive option, consider something low-key like a mobile trivia or puzzle game that guests can play casually on their phones, which can add some fun without being intrusive—something similar to R789 Mobile Game could inspire a casual, engaging option for your guests. Often, letting guests chat, explore, and enjoy the setting naturally is enough to make your wedding memorable.

If you’re looking for entertainment suggestions, consider mixing different formats to keep things fresh and engaging. Watching a popular TV series or a critically acclaimed movie is always a safe choice, but you can also explore podcasts, audiobooks, or documentaries to learn something new while being entertained Dana Game Slot APK . For more interactive fun, try casual mobile games, board games with friends or family, or even attending live events like concerts or comedy shows.

You’re probably overthinking it—guests don’t always need structured entertainment to enjoy themselves. With good food, music, and a relaxed vibe, people naturally socialize and have a great time. Just like using kryds og tværs løsninger , sometimes simple support is enough to keep things flowing without adding unnecessary complexity.

Honestly, I think you might be overthinking it a bit 🙂 With good food, drinks, and a nice atmosphere, people are usually happy just chatting and enjoying the moment—especially with something unique like classic cars. A jazz pianist sounds like a perfect touch for background vibe without forcing activities. Keep it simple and meaningful, like how people enjoy relaxed entertainment on platforms like CT777 , where it’s more about easy enjoyment than overloading with options.
