Entrance music

We just had one piece for all the entrances - BM walked in first, then CBM and then me & my bro as he was giving me away. We didn't have a particular song so we asked the singer and she suggested O Mio Babbino Caro which was lovely but, otherwise, I wouldn't have had a clue what to walk in to! Some ideas:

I've just finished preparing two ceremonies. Both have gone for instrumental music..... there is masses out there, not just classical, but modern stuff done on harps, string quartet, guitar, piano, full orchestra...... My first bride has chosen Adele's 'Make you feel my love' done on a harp, the other has waltzing matilda performed by a full orchestra.

If there is a song you like, have a search for it on youtube putting in the title and how you want it played (ie string quartet, piano etc). That will give you the name of the performer. Then all you have to do is search for it on itunes or amazon and boom! For 79p to 99p you have your perfect instrumental!

Alternatively.... get your DJ to do the ceremony and they will come up with ideas and source all the music.... and play it at exactly the right time!

I just thought about movies/computer games I liked.

I chose Vide Cor Meum from the Hannibal movie

and some of my other songs are Ava Maria from the Hitman computer game/movie and Eyes On Me from the Final Fantasy 8 computer game.

I chose them because they meant something to me, but are suitable to play at the ceremony

I don't know if it helps, but the guy I have hired to play for my ceremony has a very long list on his website of music people have asked him to play. I found it quite inspiring (though I eventually went for something else!). His name is Simon and his website is pianistwedding.co.uk.
