Evening food?

F1990, 10 of April of 2024 at 19:13 Posted on Planning 0 2
I keep going back and forth on this so any suggestions welcome!

We are having a later wedding - registry office at 4.30pm. Nearby pub function room after, so arrival by 5.15, plan to sit down for food around 6-6.30pm. it's a small informal wedding (60 guests for the whole thing, no additional evening guests). We are having a carvery dinner followed by dessert, no starter. We have wedding cake that will be sliced up for later in the evening and we are doing a chocolate cart. What other food and at what time? Would you expect additional food? We originally thought we might have bacon butties bought out around 9.30 but this feels too soon after a roast . We are planning on wrapping up the whole thing by 11pm

You could maybe do some light buffet snacks at the end of the evening - not everyone likes sweet food - but I don't think you need anything else.

We have a similar timeline and number of guests and decided to provide sandwich and wrap platters from Waitrose at 9pm. Doesn't cost crazy much and it's a nice little snack
