Experience with Maple Leaf Diamonds?

Daisy Bell, 6 October, 2014 at 15:32 Posted on Planning 0 6

My OH and I went to Beaverbrooks to look at engagement rings together on Saturday and we were shown a ring from the Maple Leaf Diamonds range, which was absolutely gorgeous... do any of you have one of their rings?

I was also really intrigued by the fact that it is white gold but not rhodium plated so it wouldn't have to be re-plated.

This is the ring we saw although I have to say the picture does not do it justice.

Sorry I haven't got a ring from that rang, but just wanted to say that is a beautiful ring, I haven't seen one like that, if you went with that, I bet you are super happy ?

We didn't buy one, we just wanted to have a look (well, it was mainly my idea, haha). Both for me to get an idea of what I like and for my boyfriend to see what I like (and to get my ring size).
It will be upto him to actually choose an engagement ring for me (and when to propose) but we both liked that one, although it was a bit pricier than the budget we went in with. Since there would be no follow up cost of re-plating, it might be okay though.

Here is a picture I took of the ring which shows the detail better than the picture on the Beaverbrooks website imho, I've never seen a setting like this!

I also really liked this cluster bridal set which was a little closer to the budget in our head:

But then I also saw two more Maple Leaf rings on the Beaverbrooks website that look lovely (they didn't have them in the store) ... I'll just have to wait and see what my boyfriend surprises me with.

They are both beautiful. I would be very happy if I was given either one of these.

You will have to let us know which one he has picked when he finally pops the question ?

    Hi Daisy Bell,

I don't know whether you have heard of us, we specialise in creating bespoke jewellery which we manufacture ourselves, meaning you can normally save up to 60% off RRP's.

To give you an idea on price for this beautiful design in 18ct White Gold with a total diamond weight of 0.38ct Colour G, Clarity SI1 it would be around £950.

We do find that 18ct White Gold will hold its white finish for much longer than 9ct White Gold but normally after a year or two it will need to be replated. We offer free lifetime cleaning and replating on all of our products so that you never have to worry about the cost.

if you have any questions at all please just drop us an email and we will be more than happy to help you :-)

It's a lovely ring but I think it's very expensive for the size and clarity etc of the diamond included. I would maybe get a few prices from bespoke places to see if they can make something similar.
