Father of the bride question!

Sophie, 20 July, 2023 at 13:16 Posted on Planning 0 3
Hi everyone!
I’m getting married for the second time next July and I have 2 daughters (they’ll be 11 and 13 by then). I’d really like them to walk me down the aisle and I’m sure my dad will be totally fine with this (he’s already given me away once afterall!) but I just wondered if anyone had any lovely inspiring ideas of how I can include him in the special moment and make him feel just as important? I’m not having any bridesmaids so it’ll just be me and my girls walking down the aisle. Thanks in advance!

How about your Dad waits at the end with your OH so he can do the official "give away" bit with the registrar.

    Make him a witness?

Have him formally welcome your OH to the family immediately after the ceremony?

Have him travel with you to the venue and walk to the entrance with you, before your daughters walk you down the aisle?

Oh that's a nice idea! We're having a humanist ceremony so I guess we can write something inclusive like that into it! Thank you Smiley heart
